Patellar bandage
The Thuasne Sport Patellar bandage provides support and adjustable compression targeted at the lower part of the flat muscle on the outside of the thigh: the tensor fascia lata (TFL).
Windscreen wiper syndrome’ or “runner's syndrome” is an inflammation of the iliotibial band caused by repeated flexion/extension movements of the knee. This syndrome causes pain on the outside of the knee during exercise (running, trail running, football, etc.). The Thuasne Sport Patellar bandage helps to limit the pain associated with this condition and provides support during running.

Properties/Mode of action

The patellar bandage applies local pressure to the patellar tendon and supports the patella, thereby absorbing vibrations. Proprioceptive effect thanks to the combination of silicone with dimples, which creates a massage effect and a fabric band, which provides contention.

Indications

Joint or ligament inflammation of the patella, patellar tendinitis (jumper's knee) or femoropatellar syndrome (runner's knee). Mild patellar instability. Anterior knee or patella pain.
