Hot/Cold pack Sport preview

The Thuasne Sport hot/cold pack is a reusable thermal clay cushion. It provides hot or cold relief for certain sports injuries or everyday aches and pains. It can be applied to the ankle, knee, abdomen, back, wrist, elbow, shoulders, neck and face.

When applied cold, it helps to relieve pain and reduce inflammation, haematomas and oedema. Cryotherapy is indicated for sprains, strains, tendonitis, migraines, eye pain, toothache, haematomas and arthritis.

When applied hot, it helps to relieve pain, promotes blood circulation and has a relaxing effect. Thermotherapy is indicated for back pain, contractures, muscle and joint stiffness, cramps, stiff neck and abdominal pain.

After being heated or cooled, the clay bag is placed in a velvet-effect cover and held in place by an adjustable, elastic hook-and-loop fastening strap. The soft clay cushion hugs the application area and diffuses the heat or cold.

Instructions

Cold use

Instructions: Remove the clay cushion from its transparent plastic packaging. Place it flat in the freezer (-20°C) for at least 2 hours before use. For greater comfort, knead the clay cushion to soften it before inserting it into the cover provided. If the clay cushion is too cold or too solid, leave it at room temperature for a few minutes before use. To avoid any risk of burning, do not apply for more than 20 minutes and wait 20 minutes before reapplying.

Hot use
Instructions for use in the microwave: Remove the clay cushion from its transparent plastic packaging. Place it flat at room temperature in the microwave and follow the heating instructions. Knead to distribute the heat evenly before inserting into the cover provided. Instructions for use in a bain-marie (C): Heat water to boiling. Make sure there is enough volume for the cushion to be fully immersed. Turn off the heat source. Remove the clay cushion from its transparent plastic packaging. Add the clay cushion at room temperature to the hot water for a maximum of 5 to 20 minutes until it reaches the desired temperature.
